Advice on Momo's goblet choices?
I've seen a few threads here mentioning how Momo is apperently utterly broken, what I'm personally finding is using the primary as an emergency get out of dodge button is making me quite durable, and his skill damage is decent but my friend group is still out pacing me in damage.

Advice on what ascensions to collect and explaining how and why they work please.

From my experience Momo is a feast and famine character. You either boost his primary or his weapon skills and forget about the other. You can't really make a hybrid build for him and a secondary only build doesn't really work since its such a limited range. You could probably try with Sharp Penmanship extending the range of Drawing Come True but his secondary seems to gain more value from the utility it provides for the other builds.

For a weapon build you want to get Inkwash Fusion as your first blessing because it increases your weapon damage and lucky shot chances with every Ink Rhythm you get. Focus purely on the Dyeing Weapon ascensions and a few Ink Painting ascensions because all you want to do with this build is throw out blank domain with the secondary and stand in it to constantly generate ink rhythm and also get whatever bonuses you unlock through ascensions by standing in blank domain. Tracer is probably arguably the best weapon for this build because you can trigger the secondary fire effect on the Grinding Ink ascension while also gaining stacks from using resources, although any of the weapons with rescources or a secondary fire is good to trigger the bonus damage. This combined with Gemoetry Art just allows you to sit in blank domain areas and trigger 240% more weapon damage at level 3 for both.

If you want to go with a primary build your weapon of choice will likely be something like compass or starfly since they can be active automatically while you're in ink form. Rebirth form Brush is the way to go at the start because it will buff your ink splash and gives +200% final damage to your ink, which is what you'll be using in that form in the late game when you're running around as a huge death ball. Same concept as the weapon build but in reverse, focus mostly on Incarnate Ink. Colorful Black and Continuous Design are must haves as the former gives you bonus damage and damage reduction for each ink orb you pick up and the latter increases your duration while also generating additional ink orbs to pick up. Quick Sketch is great to boost your movement speed especially when you get Ink and Blank, Yin and Yang to make ink domain count as blank domain.

Overall the important part is to avoid splitting your build up. I personally find Momo suffers when you try to have both weapons and primary fight each other for dominant playstyle as they don't really mesh well together. At the very least his tankiness lets him be a great supporting player in a multiplayer match if you find yourself doing most of the revives. Otherwise become a nice long range damage dealer or a speedy death ball.
