0. Difficulty doesn't matter, play whatever is easiest for you.
1. You NEED a level 3 battle tested (20 ammo for 2 bonus seconds on dual wield)
2. Ammo expert level 1 at least, (ammo regen) but it also gives a chance not to consume ammo in dual wield so i would consider avoiding more than level 1 without 2 ammo guzzling guns.
3. You want a big hippo. Other weapon can be almost whatever.
4. Overloading level 3 (reduced reload speed is obviously helpful)is nice but not 100% required if you have enough ROF.
5. Scrolls don't really matter, but reload speed and ammo regen are nice.
This is the first frame i got but i'm planning to try for them all so when i get one i'll comment on this discussion. It would also be helpful for others to comment their methods too. They are all quite hard and push the limits of the characters

For quin yan the bird the easiest method is by far to get the easy kill ascention then farm the summoned lanterns from the monk in the fjord, u'll also need secondary regen from scrolls, the ascention that give some back.

Lei lui is very easy, just restart the run until you get a sniper then just do the run only using snipers.

Tao is just a matter of maxing the ascentions that give more swords and use it at max charge once they are high enouth level.

Qian Sui can be done without killing a single enemy, all you need is start with the spiritual remnant that pause ur fist sensation decrease and with some timing and the additional remnant for a secondary every 3 seconds u'll reach 80 stacks no problems

Li is litterally free, just take augments that increase her fireball damage and just kill a boss with it.

For Xing Zhe the best method is to increase the amound of crudgel hits and use a launcher for aoe explosions, then in the fjord try to find a stack a lot of lanterns and use the power on them.

For zi xiao i managed with focusing on only purple scrolls. For the run i used the lone wolf ascention for a secondary every 3 seconds as well as exploding hand at the beginning and only focused on the secondary ascentions to carry the run.

For Nona just use the "a pair of us" ascention and be careful in the first act where iron wing is still a bit squishy, at the second act he'll have scaled so much that he'll just carry the run by killing every enemy in a single attack most of the time. Just be careful not to put him in the frontline by keeping him in turret form. missiles are your best bet.
