Only mod to my knowledge that is accepted by them is the VR mod.
+1 for mods.
Not to mention the devs just don't want it either. And personally I get it. Every time I see a mod for something in progress like this game is I can only think "Welp they probably won't be adding that to the game now."
Cause if a dev sees a creative mod the idea the mod explores is now tainted cause adding modded stuff officially gets your crucified unless it's QoL adjustments. Even if the dev was already working on a similar idea. Almost especially if the dev was already working on something similar.
I know that i am quite late to the party of this thread, but we could take Risk of Rain 2 as an exemple. many mods were taken into conssideration to ad new features to the game, AND, in fact, a big majority of the reasons why RoR2 is still alive is because of the moding community, and without the mods the game would be insanelly weaker and less poupular. rings any bells? gunfire reborn is a barelly known game, that i am pretty sure would be way more popular if mods were allowed
Got any proofs? Played Risk of Rain 2 in 2019 when there were no mods. Did not need them.
