Endless mode isn't truly endless regardless of if things get changed.

Builds exist where you can literally go on forever. The game will eventually break or hit a limit regardless, because games aren't designed to go on forever.

Yeah, the term endless is used very loosely in Gunfire Reborn... I managed to get to Stage 40 (Lone Wolf, 2 player count) but I simply ran out of time on Stage 39 because of the sleugh of Elites coming after each and every room. My DPS wasn't enough for them, which is pretty funny as I melted through the bosses.

But it's nigh impossible to balance endless modes in these types of games. I personally think ramping up the enemies' damage output would be way better than just increasing their damage resistance. And having only gotten to ~85% damage resistance it just makes me wonder if the damage resistance would go all the way up to 100%. Would that nullify all damage? Or how would that work?

But yeah, the Endless Journey isn't exactly what I, or others it seems, expected and wanted. It's not bad, just not endless...

Damage Resistance will cap at 90% at stage 55 and Bosses HP will stop growing at that point, however for mobs and elite mobs their hp still growing past that point i believe, not sure about dmg because i play safely most of the time and only tanking with Lightless Shield and Phantom Skin, but i remember taking 700ish dmg even with 90% dmg resistance

I mean i feel like it could be, It just needs to be balanced to the point of it being possible to have fun. Like i feel like upping damage resistance is inherently boring. I feel like they should just let me get as op as i want even if that means the game becomes easy. Maybe they should up the damage instead of resistance but i dont really feel like thats really necessary. let me have every single ascension ever and if the game crashes thats on me, least endless mode would be something i would play more then once in my life.

there's a way to reduce enemy dmg resistance like using Flame Dance on Li, there's also way to makes the game super easy by feeding enemies with only Paranormality + Flesh and Bones, this will makes most of enemies hp become 1

Endless has been a blast for me after 1200hrs of Gunfire. Hit stage 67 last night. 4hrs game time felt endless to me. 550 billion total damage with 90% enemy damage reduction. I would personally like to see a few changes to make it more fun though. 1. No damage caps 2. No more immunity phases for bosses. 3. No more immortal enemies to stand around & eat up time.

Or making the immortal timer tick down faster by damaging them

RoR2 lets you go on until you crash the game. Thats half the fun, becoming a god that kills the game itself.

I agree, RoR2 is a good comparison. Breaking the game is what people asked for with Endless.
If they're not gonna remove the timer, at least make it more generous.

kinda my point it ether feels like youre rushing the entire time and therefor you feel kinda smol or you risk ending the run due to a timer....NOT a big fan of a timer if im not being rewarded for surviving longer and longer...
