Transcendant Arsenal just doesn't feel worth using
And it's not just the fact I only start seeing the Arsenal Guard around the end of the water zone. I hate enhancing a weapon to 20+ only to wind up seeing it be 10 just before reaching the Pole Monarch. The weapons are just too weak to pull out and use versus the one you've heavily invested into up to that point.

It's there for OP inscription combos, not levels. Level 6 cloud weaver with 2 "Spawn orb on crit" inscritions would be way better then whatever you have at the end of act 2 anyway, so that's the reason to save them up.

In most of my runs, I often find a Demonlore and a scroll that makes it so I can restore ammo to the magazine, allowing it to reach max stacks. If I then gemini critX with the highest crit weapon or spore gemini with Porcupine, it becomes an absolute monster. This is all before I even leave the desert. Even if unlucky, I still manage to get this rolling before the first Arsenal Guard appears.

If a level 6 Cloud Weaver can beat that on its own, I'll be very surprised.

What do you think I mean?

If you enhance a weapon to level 20+, which isn't hard to do, then deposit it after defeating Pole Monarch, it'll be level 10 if you try and withdraw from the Arsenal Guard in the stage just before the boss encounter in the next run.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ is this not mentioned ANYWHERE IN THE UPDATE POST

I havent actually gotten to an arsenal guard yet so i had NO IDEA that this was even a THING

because pole monarch is already easy enough without +99 weapons

this is not, however, a defense of transcendent arsenal, the only weapons I put in there were what I used on first post-update clear for the sentimental value c:

Or level 6, if you get it during Fjord.

This really isn't that big of a surprise, TBH. The level of a gun is pure linear damage increase, so altering that upgrade number to another number doesn't really change anything. So yeah, popping a gun out at the same + value as weapons you'd find on the ground makes a lot of sense.

Also, if it kept its upgrade value, the mechanic would be broken AF.

My only complaint is that I'd like to pop a weapon out before Fjord 1 rather than after Fjord 3.

I use it purely for gemini inscriptions have a few weapons with shared elements with 80% elemental effect and a shared CritX strike Wing with CritX gemini and a 5.4 critX.

Yep, it's for Orbs or Gemini fodder. You could get away with a Demonlore since it scales poorly with upgrades. I'd prefer to have the option disabled personally. Same with Ascendant Fusion, and Interconnected Fates. Interconnected Fates with pubs is probably why 90% of wipes in my games happen.

you say it's not just the issue that you only start seeing it late, then complain about something caused by only seeing it late?

Ascendant Fusion is fine since you can skip all the options if you don't want them

There seems to be hidden modifiers on the selections that increase enemy stats so I don't think it's just a pure bonus. Otherwise Crossbowman wouldn't be hitting me for 300 in Act 1 since the patch.

Have you not noticed multiplayer death rates have skyrocketed? Average deaths have gone from like 5 to 20+. The damage stat of every enemy that kills you is absurd now.

That is interesting... I have been noticing that enemies have been doing more damage for some reason.
