Is there any known solution to low FPS (PC)?

This started after the game's official release patch (1.0) if I recall correctly or the patch where Gunfire released on other platforms so I dropped the game for a while but now I want to try the new content.

In multiplayer I get 30-40FPS at the start by the waterfall and drop down to 20FPS in late stages. Singleplayer I get low FPS by the first boss.This is the only game i have performance issues with.

Attempted Solutions:
Updated to latest drivers
Set GPU to the NVIDIA card
Verify file integrity
Reinstall
Installed on SSD

Hardware:
Windows 10
ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING
Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB
Resolution 2560 X 1440

This is a big problem in this game - too many people have low FPS on decent hardware, even though the game is not intensive at all.

Yes!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD will somebody look into this ive been having this same issue forever now. Really love the game but its so hard to play with constant frame drops. Ive tried everything Detective has done as well with no luck can a dev pls figure out why this is happening and help correct it for us PLSSSSSSS!

I'm having the same issue with my GTX 4090, 24 core threadripper, PCIE-4 SSD, and 128 GB of RAM on Windows 11.

what????? i only ever play this using onboard graphics and ive had no issues

How to see the FPS?

Can you tell us where the bottleneck is? When the game bogs down, what is your task manager telling you about CPU/GPU/RAM usage?

There is no bottleneck, there's just loads of non-utilized resources.

Try this steps bro:
1. Download latest driver on NVIDIA website
2. Disconnect from internet (to avoid window update auto install driver)
3. Use DDU to completely uninstall NVIDIA driver.
4. Restart computer
5. Install latest NVIDIA driver
6. Enjoy the game

I did that and it definitely made an improvement for me. The overall resource utilization is still lower than I'd like though and I'm only getting ~90 FPS with the settings cranked.

I would bet I'm now CPU-limited due to something being single-threaded that can't really benefit from the 24-core monster I've got.

After the latest Windows 11 update, performance is back to being terrible again and I’m playing on Low graphics and getting ~30 FPS on my $5,000 computer.

Are there any log files I can provide that could help you guys troubleshoot the performance issues on very high-end machines like my own?
