A surprising amount of people kept getting confused where Gluttony was in the first place, because they just never tried or were never good enough to complete Spiritual Assault.
I think Gluttony is a super cool boss and I'm glad now that we get to fight it without having to play a separate mode.
It kind of makes sense how we would be transported to a different place.
There are UFO enemies on the mountain, and when you get to the top you activate a device.
That device just puts you in space to fight Gluttony.
It's fine.
I haven't even bothered to learn his patterns :/
But does Mysterious Jokul even affect Gluttony? What would it even do for him?
I mean, it doesn't make sense to encounter flying saucers buffing fishermen in a snowy mountain either
let me reiterate: after spending 30 minutes climbing a snowy mountain, it makes more sense to fight a bear at the summit of said snowy mountain, rather than teleport to a spacey place with a big fat guy. does this game even have lore? what is the significance of the crystals breaking after you kill the bear, that doesn't happen if you fight gluttony.
I found it a trend in many chinese games that lore is clearly there, but it's not explained or explained very poorly
This is a big question honestly. It's not like he got any new patterns (that I could notice). I find it to be a huge oversight honestly especially with how (pleasantly) surprised I was by all the new behavior r9 pulled. Assuming the worst (that I didn't miss anything on my casual r9 run) it feels like Gluttony just ended up being an afterthought to r9 and bizarre dream. I don't even see him among the r9 changes in the little blurb next to the difficulty selection in the lobby when selecting r9. I'm not even sure if Gluttony gets the bonus health from mysterious jokul, not without comparing attempts (which I straight up don't have time for right now sadly). Even then making him even spongier doesn't really do much to make the fight more interesting.
ikr! they could have like two paths, one to fight bear, one to fight gluttony
