unplayable with controller (edit: fixed)
Tried playing it as of July 31st and it was unplayable. Using an xbox one x controller and it would freeze, start doing random controls, etc. Even in the settings it would start changing things on it's own and become unresponsive. I will try with other controllers later.

Edit: Going into the steam setting and changing the controller support to xbox and downloading the driver fixed the issue completely. So if anyone has the same issue, give it a try.

what's your steam input setting?

Ok, so changing those settings and downloading the additional driver seemed to fix it. Played a couple rounds no problems. So that's good to know. I don't know why steam didn't pop up with any sort of notification when connecting the controller and launching steam but oh well.

I seem to be having a similar issue. Playing with Keyboard and Mouse, but it suddenly stops recognizing my mouse movements at random intervals while moving. It's behaving as though my keyboard is a gamepad, changing the input icons on the screen to match, and disables my mouse movements for aiming if I'm holding a key.

The strangest part is that it'll be fine for 5-20 seconds and then do it for about the same amount before changing back, alternating between broken and fine. I DO have an Xbox controller, though I doubt it is related since it isn't connected or on when this happens. I have tried turning Steam Input both on and off, and the results happen regardless.

Any ideas? Being unable to aim while moving at seemingly random is kind of crazy debilitating. Until I figure out how to fix this or something on your side fixes it, I'm just kinda SOL. >_<

Also, so you're aware I'm not trying to hijack a thread, I posted here since it seemed similar enough that I'm thinking the root issue is probably the same. I haven't installed any extra drivers yet, but can provide logs if needed to help track down the offending piece. :)

Any other input device/controller that is also connected?

Unfortunately no. First thing I checked since usually this type of activity is exhibited due to a connected controller with, say, a trigger held down. I've only got the one controller though, and it has been disconnected and powered off the entire time.

What series/brand of keyboard and mouse do you use? In other games, would the keyboard/mouse control scheme work as intended?

Works fine in all other games as far as I can tell. Keyboard is a Wooting 2. The mouse is a UtechSmart Venus, though I'm not sure of the exact model. I can give you the model number though if you need it.

Also worth noting is that this didn't happen the last time I played about two weeks ago prior to the last update or two. Game worked fine at that point, so I wonder if it might be somehow related to that. Not saying it is, of course. Just spitballing.

OK... could you offer the logs of the runs in which you encounter the issue? (Logs can be found at game folder/logfile)
Blackjack Aug 13, 2021 @ 1:27am
Logfiles should be here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kskpbnoskc4hp6z/logfile.rar?dl=1

If that doesn't work, let me know and I can package them a different way. I THINK it should have all three log files from today, though I'm not sure what to look for so I just packaged the entire logfile folder. :)

just offer the logs of the problem runs (with adjacent timestamp)
These 3 logs are all problematic?

Assuming the timestamps are accurate, yes. I've launched the game three times today and had the issue all three times, so I believe they should all show the same issue. Unless the game changes things about the log files every time it's opened or something strange like that, those should match up with the three attempts today.

Have you reinstalled the mouse driver?
And another thing I want to know is that when the game decides to ignore your mouse, can you move the camera with your mouse?

Haven't touched the drivers at all yet, but the mouse doesn't seem to be the issue as far as I can tell. Even without touching the mouse, the keyboard controls still change the control labels(ability button goes from Q(custom bind) to LB while the movement keys are held, for example).

Also worth mentioning is that this behavior also happens when using my laptop's touch pad, so it shouldn't be related to the mouse I wouldn't think. It feels like the game is somehow mistaking my keyboard for a gamepad at seemingly random and locking the keyboard and mouse controls as long as the "gamepad"(which is actually my keyboard) is active. Interestingly though, I can still fire even though I can't aim. So the left click is unaffected, but the mouse movement is locked.

so you mean you cannot move the camera with your mouse, aim down sight, but you can fire?

Correct. I haven't tried aiming down sights, but I can fire just fine. On the other hand, as long as a key is held on the keyboard, the camera is locked and wiggling my mouse back and forth doesn't do anything.

OK... It seems weird, I'd like to send the logs to the programmers to check first.
