You are not even level 100 with 48 hours? don't revive yoursefl that often
There are many defensive scrolls which help you - and level 2 players can beat the final boss (check the guides section)
Im sure with a coordinated team handling the cannons/mobs/clouds would be trivial but doing it all by myself seems like a lost cause. I can take triple comeback and not use up a single life the entire run until the final phase where i'll lose all the lives and still die after a revive. I saw the level 2 run against this boss and never *never* in any of my runs was I able to two-shot the octos like the guy in the run does outside of having nonsense like final judgement + midair strike + penetration Bullet
I try to go for an energy blade + sniper build as the cat to deal with problematic enemies like the snipers/sharks/monks and breeze past the first phase. I really think the only way I'm gonna beat this thing is to have snow boots + an insane element + crit build--I dont think there's any defensive scroll that'll reduce the threat of a million things on screen at once
also some of that time was playing on a seperate file so i could play with friends at a lower level
Thats words from ME, i wasted 45 hours to kill him solo for the 1st time.
Im super trash in this game and also i have an old laptop and it can lag sometimes, but i think most of problems thats me being careless.
Last boss of this game is completly on different level of previous two, he is like a raid boss from MMORPG.
alternatively if you can get lifesteal and at least one or two defensive things you can try to kite the enemies and use them to live while chipping at the boss.damage reduction inside grenade smoke, and related grenade ascencions could help with laying down a defensive field. aoe weapons like tiger or bone dragon would help you with adds or you could take the rainbow which can target nearby enemies without locking on and through terrain(i wouldn't be surprised if they nerf it).
I can understand the frustration as I've gone in with a great setup and extra health and just whiffed it, sometimes you'll be surprised by what works well. I've never gone in with a 'set strat' but hope this helps.
I feel like I understand the elements of the fight well enough to know what I should be focusing on, but its like I'm expected to instantly snap to + delete every threat onscreen the frame it appears--making even a tiny error causes things to snowball out of control until your screen goes up in a cloud of red particles and you're on the floor
1. A form of tankiness that can prevent you from getting 1 shotted by elysian artillery.
2. A way to regen your effective hp after you've been hit a fair deal.
3. A way to quickly clear the octupi who carry the cannon shells you need.
There are a ton of ways to solve these issues but you do need all of them if you want to clear the boss without solid experience against them.
I found the hardest thing was understanding how the barrage worked, but once I knew what to expect (i.e. the first sets before the transition are always in a row that line up with you) then I simply used dash to avoid it.
The rest is simple. Dodge the barrage, do the things. Rinse and repeat
