The last boss needs some work
I've had several times where I've died and literally do not know what happened. Either hit boxes are broken or there's some kind of bug. Even outside of these frustrating instances the boss itself is too chaotic unless you happen to have a build that can obliterate things instantly. The general idea and mechanics are actually interesting but I don't think it's particularly fun to have instant one hit kills in any boss fight. There seem to be several instant death states in this one and it's just not fun. Also even playing single player there appears to be strange moments when things lag which seems to happen just before you die. Either there's a real issue with the projectile hitboxes or there's some kind of strange latency or the skulls need to be animated in a different way. They appear to be going over your head and you take damage. If you need to go side to side that's fine but they need to be animated to communicate that to the player. I don't think that's actually the issue however. I'm convinced either there is a strange latency even offline or that there are serious issues with projectile hitboxes.

I'd post the clip I have but I'm not sure if that's possible in the steam forums. If it is please let me know and I'd be happy to post it in slow motion. It's jarring how bad it is. I've got one that shows me dying for literally no reason I can see. No projectile is even close to me, the poison orbs haven't even come out, and there are no adds on the field. This isn't the first time I've had it happen but this time I was recording. Something is wrong.

I felt that same way the first bunch of times that i fought the final boss, but now i can kill him without getting hit most of the time. Keep your dashes ready for the bombing, and shoot the poison blobs as soon as they spawn as priority. Also, Spirit Feline makes this fight extremely forgiving.

I think it's more just the boss is scaled to fight characters holding some of the more powerful defensive items (such as Deflection Shield, Spirit Feline). Characters that are low level or with poor defenses will get obliterated by the cannon fire. Characters with a good mix of defensive items (Paranormality + Backup Shield + Silver Medal + Ascensions) can take a lot of punishment before going down, if they even leave themselves open.

There's a pretty good learning curve to it all though. Once you get a decent fight in where you survive for a little while, you start to notice the patterns a lot easier. After the first kill it's a lot easier to keep up with the fight mechanics. Just keep trying and remember to kill the jellyfish. :steamhappy:

I actually never do this, I just focus DPS and dodging.

died several times on first 2 bosses, but never on third. Third feels too easy with endgame build even on elite. But you obviously need to kite and look behind you for the aoe damage on ground to not touch it

Yesterday i fired 4 shots with my Golden Bow and he went down on Elite. Yes i got somewhat lucky with scrolls but the boss is honestly very easy.
