Death in multiplayer is far too penalizing
Dieing in the first stage of a scene removes you from the game entirely pretty much. You miss so much stuff you're better off restarting the session and it takes forever to get a res. Its not fun having to watch your friend fight through the entire scene.

I think either bleedout needs to be slower, resing needs to be faster or you should respawn after a level.

There are changes planned for the respawning of teammates + there is a skill you can invest in that allows you to revive up to 60% faster (it's the middle skill tree, second to last row on the left side)

Yeah in their update post yesterday they said they will be updating how rezzing works next week. Hopefully they just let you respawn after each portal or buy rez at the pedlar. Also yeah later on in the skill tree you can unlock faster rez time and it looks like there is a skill that stops you from dying while reviving someone. Seems kinda busted it might get changed eventually.

It seems ok to me, Its far less penalizing than risk of rain, and you got 1 self revive...

I was thinking it would be great to buy players back in at shops or even the checkpoints in a level.

right now i think it's good in terms of balance, since if you would die in solo the game just stop a this moment but i'm totaly ok with the fact it's not fun to look your mates to play alone for 10 min for the unluckiest.

if you die in the 1 stage than it has nothing to do with being "unlucky"

Well the fact that you can come back at all means its less punishing than solo play. People just don't want to sit and do nothing while watching their friends being able to play but what's the point of dying if you can just instantly come back?

It's definitely too punishing.

Your teammate that dies misses out on potential goblet upgrades, scrolls, and weapons that drop from the boss kill, not to mention the regular rooms/enemies/rewards before reaching them.

You already get increased enemy spawn and health buffs when playing with multiple people. It definitely needs a rework; same thing with the resurrecting mechanic. Not really fun when you miss out on a whole upgrade and then you're even weaker for the next stages. Doesn't make sense.

Risk of rain you can control when you want to leave the level, so if someone dies, you can just Start the teleporter. In this, you need to wait X amount of stages. There is next to no point in self revive since its so costly to your investment. You're better off waiting for your friend to die and just starting a new run
