Its full of promise already.
I dotn always just go by reviews, but i think over 900 positive reviews if you read them will tell you all about the quality of this game.
If you also read the EA small print you will see the game is virtually complete, only a few months do they expect EA to last.
I searched the net and apart from a few phone apps they have only been goign a couple of years, so this looks like their first game, but everyone has to start somewhere, and these devs have started with a gem.
BUT? You're feeling foolish for not buying it while the bloody thing was on sale? LOL Naw jk - Don't understand your bloody point. If this is their only game then that mean they do not have a host of other projects in the work and would be willing to abandon this one because the population isn't as high as they want. They ain't got ♥♥♥♥ else to do but work on this game LMAO.
Besides every game company at some point or another had NO game under their belt right?
Personally I like it!
Right now, it has content for at least 50 hours if not more, considering all achievements.
For 10€? That doesn't sound like a terrible deal. I mean, I got "legally scammed" way worst by some triple A games.
Honestly i don't expect a years-long support plan (hey devs, feel free to surprise me), but anything the goes beyhond this point, it's just more content (which is what they claim in EA presentation), so as long as they don't badly screw up combat system and progression, this game can only improve.
It's early access, buy at your own risk. It might get better. It might get abandoned. It might get worse. If you think you can get your money's worth right now, then go ahead. If you feel like you still need a little bit extra from this game (more content, less bugs, etc.) for it to be worth it, then wait.
I wishlisted the game but will probably hold off until I see a couple big updates drop. You don't have to give into your "NEED NOW"-impulse.
Break you're my got damn spirit animal. On the real, at least this is only 12 bucks and it may or may not be finished or even abandon. But that's the risk you take with any game you buy these days, even triple A's. If the devs do not see a profit why continue to work on something that clearly missed the mark.
