This game gets way too fast and hectic later on when you have to pinpoint weakspots while 20 other grunts rush you.
Mouse aim is infinitely better here
I didn't do anything special, just loaded up the game and it recognized the controller immediately.
Have you configured your controller in Steam previously? You may need to open Steam in Big Picture mode and go to Settings -> Controller Settings -> Playstation 4 Configuration and make sure that the PS4 controller is checked.
It should recognize the controller after that.
If that doesn't work for you, I'm not sure what's wrong.
That's not what he asked.
He should try staying on topic then. If the guy wants to use a controller then he wants to use a controller. He asked for controller support.
Yeah, I've tried, but had no luck. Maybe I'll try Big Picture->Game->Settings->Controller->Forced and see if that fixes anything. It's good to hear that this is a just me problem, gives me hope that there's a solution out there.
Cryorus: I dig that this, along with most other first person shooters, work better with kb/m, but I've been using a controller since, like, 1990, my hands just don't kb/m well. Trust me when I say that my results will be much better using an interface that I'm comfortable with than one that I don't know so well.... BUT!! I do appreciate that you're looking out for me! Maybe I'll learn one of these days. :)
And yeah, this game is gonna' be a b---h to play with a controller, I might HAVE to learn kb/m.
Nice, glad you figured it out. : )
DS4 API is implemented, such that you can see the buttons work, but the sticks and triggers are mapped improperly, so the game is unplayable with native DS4.
I do this from time to time in games like GTA where shooting w/ a controller is awful, but movement on keyboards is also awful.
