GTA London 1969 Dos - Cutscene bugs in Normal Mode
Hey ya`ll. So I`m actually experiencing some issues in the Dos Version of GTA London 1969.
Firstly. When I run it in normal mode. I experience some glitches in cutscenes. It lags and also stutters. I can`t skip it. The first cutsce. However the second cutscene. Won`t let me get out of it. It freezes after the boss stop speaking. I have to restart DosBox. But by doing so, Then the 3rd chapter won`t be unlocked. Because it wouldn`t save correctly since dosbox was restarted. I fixed the issue when using Glide Mode. But the thing is. When in Glide mode. It`s having display issues (I think only in my monitor?) And also. Savestates won`t work. It crashes the game.

Guys. Are there any way to fix the cutscene bugs? I would appreciate a help!

It does, the ”DUMP” files are the screenshot files, that are generated during cutscenes. The bug generates hundreds of them, but after you close the game, dosbox is setup to automatically delete them.
so what should I do?any solution?

It's annoying that it doesn't quick save in Glide Mode. I would rather have used Normal mode to play London 1969

There really is no solution for this issue. Toshiba-3 hasn’t updated it in years, so i wouldn’t bet on him fixing it anytime soon, if ever. But maybe someone else can take on the duty to fix it. Rn the only thing you can do is play in Glide mode, or use a cheat to unlock all chapters.

Quick saves don`t really work in Glide Mode. Only do works on Low-Color (8-Bit mode) and High-Color mode (Normal mode). Meaning if you try to SaveState in Glide Mode. The game will crash. So if you fail a mission while playing on Glide Mode. And your goal is to finish it. Then you have to start all over again. Imagine if it`s the last mission but you fail it. You`ll have to start all over from the top. By doing so you`ll lose all your progress. The game automatically saves your progress after unlocking new chapter.

Another problem in Glide: Is that you cannot go into Windowed mode. Hitting the windows key on the keyboard may cause the game to crash (Chance only)

The only way for the cutscene bugs to get fixed is for someone to find out what causes it. For me. If you run the game in Normal Mode, The game generates hundreds of screenshots during cutscene. Which causes it to hang. It`s also unskippable. So you have to wait seconds or minutes for the cutscene to finish

Direct3D makes the game widescreen for what I know. I run the game in Direct3D. It still hangs. Guess it`s really like that

If you have completed all missions and frenzies, you can always click the ESCAPE key at the end and exit the second scenario, it will save your result anyway, this will also allow you to skip the second cutscene and the next scenario can be played by entering the "rommel" code

so i tried myself. the first cutscene lags, but progresses, the second cutscene hangs permanently it seems (maybe i should leave it on for longer, but dont want to), i left it there for an hour, and it didnt proceed, the third cutscene works, but cuts out before he can finish his sentence, and the 4th cutscene also doesnt wanna proceed.

I also noticed when playing GTA 1 in Glide Mode. So when switching to different chapters (Only when playing in Glide Mode) The game crashes. (For example, You finished the two Liberty City levels, Then you load to San Andreas which is the second chapter, The game will crash. Bringing you back to the desktop) Only way to fix it is just to re-load the game and load the chapter. This doesn`t happen in low-color mode. Or in high-color mode. I actually don`t know what causes this.
