which is the best pc version of gta 1 and its expansions:london 1969 & 1961(since gta games aren't as most video games which the last ver. is the best, like gta sa where v.1.0 or v.1.01 are the best),and which mods should i use to make it the complete...

Probably the Max Pack versions. They aren't official but they work. They also have save states if you care about that.

However the cutscenes are broken in the London game if not on Glide mode. But other than that it's just top down GTA, for free. It comes with 1961 too.

I don't know which version they use exactly, it might tell you somewhere. Not too sure about the multiplayer either.

Issue for MaxPack - it is unknown what version they based on. Especially since it is dos versions, that exist in even more variants than Windows re-editions.
There is looks like no separated patches. Sold-Out Soft have one fix for something, but that probably related only for their release
(also they have good scan for maps and manuals, unlike manuals for Rockstar editions and their scans on Net, mostly based on PS1 version and low quality, PC version too - here in Guiedes there is good PC version maps from Japan fansite)

Best version is:
original DOS+Win editions US, EU or both;
europian re-edition GTA1+London pack from Sol-Out - Win only (but patch is missing, and no proper link to find it from Internet Archive, even if it is archived);
- Classic Collection re-edition;
Web(\Steam)...

And making combination for al lof that (better with missing patch). Radio and corrupting dat file is issue for Web(aka Steam - they same) version, dat-file corrupting also present on CD Clasics re-edition (but radio is correct there).

Looks like if you dont want to make own repack from all of that - find original editions.

GTA2 have no major issues (some in-game bugs that never fixed anyway). Web (and so Steam) version is based on 9.6 without patch but been patched separately to "custom"-9.6. Can bring issues for non-english multiplayer compatiblities. Can be fixed with un-official gta-mp website build. Singleplayer something bugged never be fixed, not affected.
There is no need to any modern-improved versions like Web or CD Classic re-edition. They all same and work same. There is no differences from original release except changed DRM on CD or DRM-free (+audio from folder) in Web-version. Original DRM is only one that can be issue on modern Windows, game itself work perfectly fine. Literally nothing else was improved in all re-editions.

Wild Metal (County) as i know nothing miss and no have issues in Web-version (and in identical Steam one).

So only GTA1 and GTA-London1\2 require a lot of tweaking and have issues in all versions. Main disadvantages of Classics London - it is NOT compatible with London61, although the only issue that London ask for CD to load files (audio) that is not present on CD in old format. Can be treacked by cracks, as some repacks do (MaxPack or repacked London69+61 separatly).

There is probably better variant than original discs - this Polish multi-languaged DRM-free re-edition

But same as for Sold-Out, if this edition miss something or have issued files - there is for sure a patch for it on Cenega website, but it again require searching for it via Internet Archive. Should be recheked this to be sure.
And still better if such repacks as Maxpack repacks author use both Trilogy and original CDs. MaxPack is a rip version with only some DOS executables, not clear which ones and from what CD (initially repacked too). I doubt MaxPack author use original or re-edition CD and most likely he use just first he found on internet.

GTA Classics CDs also available in redump-PC-set's, i also made ccd+img+sub images and link it there (CRC match with redump discs, my img=bin from redump but +full sub-file unlike sbi from redump)

i also do mirrored WEB versions somewhere here (looks like it been removed automatically...?).
I repeat, this Cds is not issues-free. It is one of the variants.
Classics on CDs and Web is Windows only, no DOS (btw WMC never be a DOS game).

I prefer Toshiba-3`s Max Pack version. It runs pretty well than the broken windows version of both games. In the Max Pack. You can run the games in Normal Mode. Or Glide Mode.
Now what Glide mode does is it optimizes it. So it can run much better than Normal Mode.

While playing in Normal Mode. Slowdowns can occur (If your PC isn`t good enough)

You can run the pack in Widescreen. By opening the dosbox.conf file using notepad. And changing the opengl output into Direct3D.
Please note that this doesn`t work in Glide. If the setting is set to Preserve Original. Then it`ll still run in 4:3 aspect ratio even though the game is widescreen. To fix this open up nglide_config.exe then change the aspect ratio to Fit To Screen (Default) (This worked on mine. I don`t know if it will on yours)

It is not widescreen if you turn off aspect ratio. It is stretched 4:3. it is still 4:3. It make proportions obviously worse, and much worse quality of graphics. More smoothed-soaped. better set keep aspect ratio. Some setting there can prevent DosBox+video driver to scale it from 4:3->12:9. Maybe resolution. Set 640x480. If you put there your native resolution, i guess it wont be scaled and stay 640x480.

ThirteenAG widescreen fix for GTA1 work badly. It scale game to zoom out camera, and reduce size of interface+text. While for GTA2 UI stay same and on original places (in middle of the screen, but thats ok for me, at least am able to read text).

So for wide resolution... nah DosBox not better. Broken proportions is not better that zoomed screen. So they both - win and dos - looks awful in widescreen with currently available solutions.
