im not talking about when they released obviously
im talking about the last 6/7 years now, ive come here to only see the same thing repeated by many people, asking how to buy a game that was made free by the developer.
the game was made to run in something like 640x480 and to always stretch, so its never gonna look amazing by todays standards but thats part of its charm.
you can run in it 1024x768 stretched 32bit by selecting it with F11 while in game. its the highest supported resolution for the game.

theres a lot of useful information available on these sites.
check out the links above there are fixes for widescreen resolutions that i believe allow stretching to higher resolutions but whether or not this is a better image is down to personal preference really.
Because they were available on Steam through a pack in the past. I have both GTA and GTA2 on Steam. These days this is impossable.
This really should be stickied at the top of both games' forums.
