Playing GTA 1 is tough, you'll probably want to use the Max Pack, it let's you save state. In the original game, if you fail a mission you don't get another go, which makes gaining the points to move on difficult. But it's not a very friendly game, if you don't mind pure jank then go for it.
Tip: Don't play GTA its a bad game

do you know if armor does anything on the game boy version? i think i remember dying from the same amount of shots whether i had it or not
