How does it play on Steam Deck?
Anyone install this and fire it up? does the control of mouse and keyboard showing up get in the way?

It runs great.
Game supports only keyboard&mouse inputs.
No problem with that. Just pick up best community made template or make your own.

It is old game, so using anything but 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions will stretch image.

I dont know what is default Proton version by Valve.
I am using older 5.13-6
(For example, in Max Payne 1 new(er) Proton versions breaks textures colours)
