Is this still the outdated version of the game, the one that was made pre cd check?
Just want to know if they ever fixed this to be up to date.

I’m on Windows 10 and no issues. I did install a simple download that made widescreen possible without Stretching.

Not sure what you mean by pre Cd check.

When max Payne 2 first hit pc, it had a CD check, as it was not sold digitally, when it came to steam, rather than rockstar patching out the check, they just used a earlier debug build that never had the check added

Interesting. I've just finished Part I without any troubles on Windows 10 (except having to set CPU Affinity to 1 core as Max runs on his own at times).

I don't understand why so many people have problems on Windows 10. I am on Windows 10 and this game runs fine. No need for additional software or tweaking.

I thought that R* straight up used one of the no-cd cracks found online and called it a day.

They did, were called out on it, and then replaced it with the beta.
