Cut Scenes with no Sound

I have played this game before but the most memorable thing are the comic book cut scenes. I just bought it so I could experience the magic once again, but the sound during the cuts is silent. How do I fix this?

Thx and to STEAM: How about selling a finished product? I know it is a windows thing but hey isn't this platform supposed to sell Windows games and you keep everything up to date and ESPECIALLY such an easy fix. Reconverting the sound streams in those videos and boom. Is it a copyright ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fact or can't you pay the dude who created the first Vista Sound Fix for this game? How about 5 bucks for every 1000 copies bought on steam? huh?

Hey Bro, and to all my buddies out there. I have just finished Max Payne, with the sound working 100%. I know a really good site in which you can download the sound patch for the epic original MAX PAYNE game. Try this link out. tomorrowsgaming.com/blogs/zaid-62.htm . Trust me this works. However you will need WINRAR, and a downloaded version of Max Payne from steam with the latest patch. Just follow the prompts. If The game crashes, Always temporarily disable your anti virus program so that the MAX PAYNE game will not crash. When you have finished with the game turn the anti virus program back on. Have fun people. Add me up.

i have win7 x64 pro and the maxpaynesoundpatchv1.12 rar worked for me..its a batch file which you put into gamefile and run this file and when you play game its fixed.

So, I have a new problem. I went and followed the steps here to fix the sound and when it was done, I tried to start the game. The problem is now the game won't start. It's as if it's about to start, but then nothing happens. Anyone else had this problem?
