Max Payne jumping issue
Semi-spoilers!

I'm currently in the second dream sequence, and I'm at the portion that requires jumping across the different blood trails. I'm two jumps away from finishing it, but my character model has suddenly stopped jumping. When I press space bar, the character model goes through the motion of jumping (knees bending, arms swinging), but doesn't actually leave the ground. Max doesn't actually move, which means I literally can't finish the jumps.

Any thoughts?

Try saving where you are, quitting the game and going back to where you were

Other than the aformentioned, I would go into your options menu, and try adjusting your mouse, movement, and combat settings

Thank you for the help. I ended up downloading a mod that allows me to select which chapter I'd like to start at, so I just started at the next one.

Glad it worked for you. Next time, what you could do is download saved game files to make it easier.

The issue arises from loading a save game in this section. The only known fix is if you use a 'jump20' cheat in this section. You just have to load the developer console, and there are tons of website that show you how to do this. You do not need the mod. So open the developer console, and make Max jump super high by typing jump immediately followed by a value. eg jump20 worked for me.

Sure he kinda revived a dead thread, but at least he said the solution and explained why the problem occurs. If you're gonna revive a dead thread, at least be helpful.
Guys i found permanent solution to this prolem. Download Nvidia Inspector and then in driver version option click edit. Then inside go to frame limiter and set the fps to 29 fps . It works like charm no need to do anything else

This worked for me. Thanks!

You don't need to limit to 29 fps, 60 will do. This is because many games are built with 30 or 60 fps caps in mind, and physics engines are tied to the frame rate. If you are on a modern rig getting hundreds of thousands of frames per second, it can break many aspects of the game. Max Payne is no exception to this.

Put your settings in medium instead if high when you boot up the game. This solved the jumping issue in the dream sequence for me.
