Subtitles mod

Hi

Is there a mod that adds subtitles? English isn't my native language, so even if i get most of what is being said, i have troubles understand a few lines.

Afaik, there are versions with subtitles but that one doesn't have anything.

Max2 has subs, 1 doesn't... but I collected the language files and made them available for download here:

Wow, you're the guy who made the FixitAll mod, it has been really helpful since it fixed the audio and ratio issues. Thanks a lot for the mod and those files.

I like the original english acting a lot. I'll download the french version, i hope it's as good as the english one.

You can also have English narration with only French text, the mod for that is in the reactions under the guide.

I tried it, it works but not how i expected, i think i misunderstood what you said. So all texts are indeed in french. But when Max talks (while playing, i'm not talking about the comic-like cutscenes) there's no text, that's what i was looking for, so i guess i'll stick to the audio files.

yeah there is no subtitles, and i'm not aware of any mod that does that.
if you do stumble upon that mod, please let me know, so i cab add it to the collection.

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to mention that if you press F1 while in-game it will let you go to the comic screen where you can backtrack on every conversation and read whats been said. :)

I was also thinking about this, thx for the Fix it mod it really helped on PC and Steam Deck.

even without resizing you can use the keyboard to page through the story, arrow left-right = back-forward, arrow up-down = chapter up-down, spacebar = play-stop, esc = power

Just voicing my opinion into the ether. I wish there were native subtitles for narration / dialogue :(

many old games lack of subtitles, sadly. shame, that no one modded this, after all those years

but at least major portion of dialogues via readable comics
