Hi, I have the Ultimate collection of C&C and using the Nyerguds patches on the older games and was just wondering if it was still worth getting the Remastered collection? I understand it's just Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert 1, just wondering if it adds anything/does anything better than the patches added. Thanks in advanced.

Its TD, RA1 and all of their expansions including Consle missions (aftermath and counterstrike for RA1) Remastered music, and new tracks as well. Not to mention upscaled to 4k FMVs RA2 queue system for unit training, graphics remaster, RA2 style sidebar.

Imho it is, the game graphics are really great compared to the original version and so is the audio and music.

The compilation includes remasters of the first two Command & Conquer games originally developed by Westwood Studios, Command & Conquer (1995) and Red Alert (1996), along with their expansion packs and content that had been exclusive to console ports. It features 4K graphics, remastered music, upscaled full motion video cinematic footage, enhanced sidebar UI, modern online features, and an unlockable gallery of unused and "making of" content plus a brand new map editor.

Well, I helped on the remaster project[imgur.com] to make sure they'd get everything right. So everything that's in my patch is in the remaster too, and more.

The main attraction of the remaster, to me, is the higher res gameplay, bonus gallery and higher quality soundtrack. No amount of patches on the original game will ever get you those.

Just from the first two comments I was already leaning towards getting it, but this really sold it for me. Thanks everyone for the replies.

Good choice and you cannot really make a mistake when it's on sale for 2 bucks, like right now... Have fun!
