And judging from how early in the process they announced the first remasters set, you bet that the moment they actually get it started, they'll let us know.
There's a reason why I said "as if," which is literally in what you quoted.
"Would you rather EA literally came out and said "no, we're not going to do that"?"
An answer, even if not the one preferred, is still better than no answer. I don't know why anyone would think that's "ridiculous," but to each his own. You basically proved the point of my post which you quoted.
Hopefully Petroglyph is able to eventually remaster more of these. Case closed.
Tib Sun much like Tib Dawn had horrible pathfinding and AI is kinda crap, even the og Westwood developers said AI was rushed because of release date demand and they just made AI "that works" instead of great AI. Also I remember Tib Sun being quite buggy, but to be fair, there could be fan patches that fixed this.
I did end up buying this coz it was on sale, but remasters aren't really that interesting to me. They don't seem that much better than just playing the original to me. But tbh RA2/YR were my favourite that I'd likely settle for a remaster.
it is up to the EA company to decide whether they want to do a Red Alert 2 remaster or not.
-----------------------------------------------
it is the same when it comes to movies like Aliens movie series and predator movie series.
same with marvel universe movies too.
are those who don't know what the EA company are doing currently and in the future.
they think it is extremely easy and simple just to do a "remaster" of this game or that game.
they don't even realize that it requires X number of people to go through hundreds of thousands of programming codes and lines in order to make changes to the game before announcing that it is a "remaster of the original game".
-----------------------------------------------
i learn the basics of programming, so i know the difficulty when it comes to coding for games.
Or they just don't have the talent ones to do the remaster in these days, just as you said.
An opinion isn't right or wrong.
"Is this true or not?"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion
"Poor communication because he doesn't give me his bank password is a good thing"
This one's called a strawman.
It's as if to say "Poor communication because he doesn't give me his bank password is a good thing. How dare someone claim otherwise. My opinion isn't right or wrong."
look at C & C red alert remaster, the game developers have to upgrade the game to a newer game engine while keeping the original game engine in the game.
and still staying true to letting it be 2D game. with 4K graphics.
----------------------------------------------------
the game developers for Red Alert 2 have to upgrade the game to 4K graphics while keeping the original game engine and letting it stay as 2D Game.
also, upgrading a 2D game like Red Alert 2 to 3D game is also very difficult in itself.
do you honestly think that it is as simple as "ABC" for such a thing????
p.s Red Alert 3 is the first to be in 3D game in the series.
