I was researching to buy C&C the ultimate collection and accidentally find C&C remastered collection now I'm wondering this remastered collection with first 2 games(?) are at the ultimate collection too or they are in there but not remastered or I have to buy both collections to have my collection completed?

Remastered is only C&C and its expansions, and Red Alert with its Expansions (and console missions for both games),Remastered collection is also a UI,sound,and graphics remaster, the games still play as they did in the 90s; ultimate collection is every single game ported from Origin/EA app onto Steam with only updates to ensure they run on modern OS's

remastered is only C&C and its expansions and Redalert with its Expansions, ultimate collection is every single game ported fron origin/EA app onto steam with only updates to ensure they run on modern OS's

Ok then, that's relief to know that ultimate collection have them all, but is it worth it to re-buy the first two for the remaster contents, you know I'm 39 years old and I played the originals so I'm cool with old graphics if the content is there but I'm not the nostalgic person who want to pay double for nostalgia unless they really put something big in there, I may even escape buying ultimate collection and instead buy the remastered collection if they didn't at least make a multiplayer option available again like what remaster developers did.

u can play the old graphics or the new graphics on the remastered collection

You know what, this package is the respectful one with what developers did with it, for old games, if not a remake, remaster is needed.

Will gladly buy this one and ignore the ultimate collection.

thats because the developers were mainly ex-Westwood devs, the guys who made the games in the first place (petroglyph)

No one actually seems to have mentioned this so far; but... no, The Ultimate Collection does not contain the remastered versions. TUC is a collection of the original classic C&C games only.

You can easily see this by looking at the page of the Ultimate Collection bundle and scrolling down to see which products it contains.

Is it worth it.. well that's ultimately up to you.

Can't speak for the originals but people still play the remastered version online, doesn't take long to find random matches.
The visual updates are very nice as well, and ofc you have all the extra content from the DLC's etc.

Personally I like the remastered collection, and owning it didn't stop be buying the full collection for all the other games.
