For me it's C&C1. RA online is mostly about using tanks only.

Typically the Red Alert versions where better with smoother graphics, and more advanced units ranging from tanks, ships, aircraft and even troops.

red alert was an improvement just like tiberian storm was an improvement on red alert 1. These games in the series build upon each other.
