Game Crashes
My PC specs:

EVGA 3080 FTW Ultra
Intel i5 9600k CPU
Asus Rog Z390-E Motherboard
Windows 11

I recently tried to install C&C Remastered and, while i'm able to launch Command and Conquer without problems, Red Alert will not load. Every time try to play RA, it crashes and I get this info on a small error screen:

Creating crash report...

Done.

I checked Event Viewer and there's no reference to the app crashing. I've also tried starting it in Compatability mode, verifying the files, and I also tried running the game as an admin.

I've been searching on google for a solution but I haven't found anything.

Has anyone run into this? If so, how did you fix it?

I do not. It's a fresh install.

In case anyone comes here with this error and can't figure it out. The solution was to go into computer management and disable the Intel on-board graphics chip.

Cheers!

The point is that the game requires a dedicated graphics card to run. But even if you have that, some configuration on the computer might make the game run on the default inbuilt graphics chip.

So if you got a graphics card, open its settings (for nvidia, that's simply rght clicking the desktop and opening the NVidia Control Panel; fairly sure it's practically the same for AMD), find the options of what programs to run on what graphics settings, and make sure the C&C Remastered Collection is set to use the graphics card, and not the integrated graphics.

Are you able to launch the game on Origin? I had the same crashing issue using EA app but Origin app launches the game just fine.

The people who post on the Steam forum are generally the people who own the game on Steam...

To those people who has the game on Steam, there are some EA games that still launch EA app when you start the game, and can be launched on Origin without Steam like Battlefront...

Thus my question.

No, C&C Remastered is, in its core, a Steam game, which also got ported to Origin. Not the other way around. It does not require Origin at all.
