And, for the record, the PS Retaliation version does not contain any more maps than that, as researched here.
The skirmish maps of Straight and Narrow and Monkey in the Middle are there.
However if anyone wants to download the map files from Nyerguds, you can do it now to experience the rest of the maps.
However, insert the files you got into the either the Tiberian Dawn of Red Alert 1 files through this directly: \Documents\CnCRemastered/Local_Custom_Maps\ either into Tiberian_Dawn or Red_Alert
The only map in TD that I know is actually problematic is Cactus Valley, since the visceroids on that one, which are supposed to guard the tiberium field, instead swarm one specific player from the start of the game. On the original, this was always the most northern player, but in the Remaster it still happens, only they take the closest player. But even that map wasn't removed; it's still in there.
Was it suppose to be patched in later?
But the Remaster rewired all that and fixed those issues, so I'm guessing they re-evaluated some of the smaller / more cramped maps, and classified them to be more suitable for less players and reduced the amount of starting points on them.
Why are those 2 maps there? Was there a chance your custom skirmish map could be in the Tiberian Dawn/Red Alert 1 skirmish map roster?
The guy who created the map Quarry (achromicwhite) said that in one of his streams if I remembered right.
