Red Alert - autosave of game progress doesn't work

I have no idea why but autosave of the game progress of Red Alert doesn't work. Manual save of several missions works. Sadly the overal progress gets lost anytime i close the game. After a restart the progress is gone.
Do you have any idea about the problem?

Background info:
- I use Avira Antivir (with exceptions for client.exe)

You can't select the next mission in the Mission Menu?

Try disabling cloud syncing otherwise.

Autosave does not create savegames. Go into the "Mission Select" menu.

I can save game progress manual but i can't select missions .... once i close the game the mission progress is gone. :(

any idea how this works? Is it in the menu?

I think my problem is that i have about 300 savegames in TD .... but i can't delete them since the cloud always syncs it :-O

Anyway yeah, go to your Steam library, right click on the game, select properties, click on the Updates tab in the Properties window and deselect the Steam Cloud option at the bottom.

See if that has any effect. If not, I truly wouldn't know of any other possible solution but I hope this works.

Also, are you running the game as an admin? The lack thereof can sometimes interfere with savegames (in general) as well

thanks mate, i will try this tomorrow ;) yeah i run it as an admin ...

yeah 300 savegames are crazy :D ... i played it in medium and heavy .... that made it worse and since i played every single mission it was really hard sometimes :D

Strange. Once you delete them in-game the game should just sync the fact you deleted them.

yeah that's right but deleting 300 games ingame takes ages :( ... so a work around is much better for me :D

Have you found a solution yet? I have the EXACT same problem.
When I restart Red Alert my savegames are kept, but all my progress in the Mission Select screen is lost.

Delete the savegames in-game, with Steam Cloud enabled, so it syncs the deletion. That's the solution. It's tedious, but it definitely wouldn't have taken you the whole year that this thread has existed.
