Well, this is useful when scout or tank battle.
When select a unit, hold Q and click everywhere on map, then unit will moving around.
To tank battle, hold Q, click on enemy's unit, then click space with no enemy, so your tank will focus on target and moving.
Another thing is make sure target on stop unit, moving unit will take less damage, so use your tanks block enemy's tank, then focus on fire to stop units is the best way to weak your enemy and keep your units.
This also works on Destroyer and Gun Boat.
So technically, you should just tell your stuff to attack the enemy unit, and only then hold down Q to give the queued Move orders to circle around the enemy.
Note that Q-Move is a feature exclusive to Red Alert; C&C1 does not have it.
Well, if want to practice tank battle, but don't want too many AI, another way is select Allies, using Ranger replace tank, APC's attack need to turn, so can't using to practice tank battle.
