And I build the standard pillbox more than the camo. I don't build any of those normally, only on demand when I got rushed by infantry or paratroopers dropping in my base without any available units nearby, I just pop a pillbox. They build faster.
That's what Light Tanks for. Counter your's Buggies. What you do if opponent use both infantry and Light Tanks?
Did you just started playing the remasters? Anyone who played this game long before the remasters know this. You need to actually play the game instead of just memorizing the build speed and other stats and drawing conclusions on paper.
If they send them to attack, I use bikes and buggies to harrass their base since tanks and infantry are too slow to react and by the time I took out 1-2 ref or harvesters or a construction yard, I'll have time to go back and defend. Been there, done that. Buggies kill infantry quicker than a light tank can kill it. Bikes counter medium tanks, let alone light tanks after the buggies dealt with infantry.
If they use them to defend, I won't attack. Can't wait to see this crazy plan.
What version you played? I have First Decade version, and i have original disk.
Original game is much harder, than this Remaster. Harvester's was there more brain death's.
They choose always farthest Tiberium fields, not the closest one.
The harvester is much better than the remastered. The remasters harvesters still collect tiberium far away and if it's full but it's refinery is being used, it will drive around it aimlessly even if there's an empty ref next to it. The original harvester AI would seek the next nearest refinery if the nearest one is in use. They just made it worse.
DOS C&C and C&C95 are identical in gameplay anyway. C&C95 v1.04 is a direct port of DOS C&C version 1.22. And none of the re-releases of C&C95 (The First Decade, The Ultimate Collection) ever changed a thing in the game. So you may remember cheaper turrets if you played the original DOS version 1.07 release, but that's it.
Ever since the DOS v1.22 patch, nothing was ever changed in C&C 1 until I started patching it myself.
And I didn't make anything easier or harder. I just fixed bugs.
you are wrong though about the Patches for Red Alert 1.

the latest Official patch is Red Alert 1 Version 2.00
red alert 1 unofficial patch version 3.03 beta which is incomplete most likely was completed and is part of the C & C and Red Alert 1 Remastered.

And, in case you didn't notice, that page literally says that the 3.03 version is official.
It was not released as new official game version, since it never left beta stage, but it was created by Westwood Studios, so that definitely makes it an official patch. You know, as opposed to a fan-made patch, which is generally the definition of an "unofficial patch".
Like patch 1.08 before it, v3 was meant to unify versions between people who only had the base game, and those who had expansion packs. Notably, it also contains the first version of the in-game Westwood Online multiplayer interface which became standard in TS. Before that, the external Westwood chat tool had to be used for online play, and it only allowed 1v1 battles, whereas v3 allowed 4-player games.
