Game useless buildings and units.
Gap Generator never works, when enemy is AI + (Mobile Gap Generator is bad too vs AI).

Pillbox (400 $) vs Camo Pillbox (600 $). Why you even need normal Pillbox? Camo has 200 more Hp and have this ability: Detects disguises, so spy's is not working. Both just need Barrack.

Radar Jammer. Why you ever need this unit? Oh, you jamming anti-air attacks. Nevermind.

Anti-personnel Minelayer. Why there is no other weapons? No machine gun? Fully unarmed, when all mines is deployed.

Communications Center vs Advanced Communications Center. Do you need both? When you build Advanced, do you really need normal Communications Center?

Light Scout(Humvee) vs Armoured Personnel Carrier. Why you need Light Scouts? APC is so much better.

In the red alert. Why both Pillbox exist? Camo is better, than normal.
When you need Pillbox, which one you build? Cheaper weaker without ability.
Or stronger version, with ability.
And on Hard, the enemy medium tank can beat the light tank 1v1 quicker :steamfacepalm:

And I build the standard pillbox more than the camo. I don't build any of those normally, only on demand when I got rushed by infantry or paratroopers dropping in my base without any available units nearby, I just pop a pillbox. They build faster.

Is more like 5 vs 7. Training time 3 vs 4 difference is 1 second. And do you think opponent sent them one-by-one. They are best use in the groups.

That's what Light Tanks for. Counter your's Buggies. What you do if opponent use both infantry and Light Tanks?

Thats not the point. The point is light tank stats is so bad, 1 medium tank can beat 2.
Did you just started playing the remasters? Anyone who played this game long before the remasters know this. You need to actually play the game instead of just memorizing the build speed and other stats and drawing conclusions on paper.

If they send them to attack, I use bikes and buggies to harrass their base since tanks and infantry are too slow to react and by the time I took out 1-2 ref or harvesters or a construction yard, I'll have time to go back and defend. Been there, done that. Buggies kill infantry quicker than a light tank can kill it. Bikes counter medium tanks, let alone light tanks after the buggies dealt with infantry.

If they use them to defend, I won't attack. Can't wait to see this crazy plan.

What version you played? I have First Decade version, and i have original disk.
Original game is much harder, than this Remaster. Harvester's was there more brain death's.
They choose always farthest Tiberium fields, not the closest one.

I have the covert operations disc in 1999, the first decade and a patched version downloaded from cncnet. I don't have the ultimate collection or the dos version, only those 3.

The harvester is much better than the remastered. The remasters harvesters still collect tiberium far away and if it's full but it's refinery is being used, it will drive around it aimlessly even if there's an empty ref next to it. The original harvester AI would seek the next nearest refinery if the nearest one is in use. They just made it worse.

I have original game without Covert, but i sell it in 2000 to get Red Alert 2 (i was stupid). Gold edition. And First decade. And get free game from cncnet. And i sell 64-version to my friend.

I believe this was removed from the remaster, actually, because it never worked properly for the player to do it, and it gave players a really simple way to distract AI harvesters by attacking them with bikes that are way too fast for them to ever catch up to.

DOS C&C and C&C95 are identical in gameplay anyway. C&C95 v1.04 is a direct port of DOS C&C version 1.22. And none of the re-releases of C&C95 (The First Decade, The Ultimate Collection) ever changed a thing in the game. So you may remember cheaper turrets if you played the original DOS version 1.07 release, but that's it.

Ever since the DOS v1.22 patch, nothing was ever changed in C&C 1 until I started patching it myself.

And I didn't make anything easier or harder. I just fixed bugs.

red alert 1 unofficial patch version 3.03 beta which is incomplete most likely was completed and is part of the C & C and Red Alert 1 Remastered.

Interestingly enough, you missed one of the most useless structures: the Advanced Power Plant. It costs $700 compared to the basic Power Plant's $300, but gives you only twice as much power. Thus, unless you need the space or want to save the time it takes to place two structures, the Advanced Power Plant has no application.

No, I wasn't "wrong", because I never mentioned RA1. The discussion above was talking about the Covert Operations and the Nintendo 64 version, so that was certainly not about Red Alert 1.

Yes, I know that page. I used to talk to the creator of that site back when the place still had a forum.

And, in case you didn't notice, that page literally says that the 3.03 version is official.

It was not released as new official game version, since it never left beta stage, but it was created by Westwood Studios, so that definitely makes it an official patch. You know, as opposed to a fan-made patch, which is generally the definition of an "unofficial patch".

Like patch 1.08 before it, v3 was meant to unify versions between people who only had the base game, and those who had expansion packs. Notably, it also contains the first version of the in-game Westwood Online multiplayer interface which became standard in TS. Before that, the external Westwood chat tool had to be used for online play, and it only allowed 1v1 battles, whereas v3 allowed 4-player games.

Building the RA1 APP is indeed economic, but building the TD APP is not.
