Hint: The Tiberian Series should've moved onto space strategy mixed like that Star Wars Empire at War after Scrin invasion. Everyone hated C&C 4. Would've been a major step up to the series to discover the reason for Tiberian ores.
You mean the purpose of tiberium according to the Scrin? Because we already know that.
I would buy this. If they remastered 3 or any of the later titles I probably wouldn't. Once they went into the sci-fi stuff I lost interest.
C&C Red Alert 1 & 2 were the RTS games I grew up on. I liked generals, didn't get the opportunity to play it in depth as much as I would have liked - and multiplayer back then was a luxury in a dial up era.
I liked these two games as well, and played them quite a bit before Generals, but I didn't get into MP until I went to the cafe with friends. Of course anything is funner with friends, but I would love to share that with my son.
As much as I'd love to find a note on the fridge from the wife telling me that she left 6 months ago, while I've been busying myself with such a remake, it won't happen. The Iraq war that caused issues in Germany at the time of release, led to ISIS which basically turned Generals from fiction to documentary.
Generals and Zero Hour were a gorgeous lightning, never to strike again. I suggest you make your peace with never seeing this C&C sub franchise again.. It's a toxic brand second to none. The only way we'll see it again if the CEO of EA comes to the board room and says:
Well boys, I shorted our employer to the tune of 50 million. How about that Generals 2?
Still playing it with the disc version I have.
