Red Alert keeps crashing

Last night I finished all TD missions on Hard and I wanted to move on to Red Alert. However, something is going wrong badly because it seems the scripts are broken or something. Saving the game and trying to reload it crashes the game.

I already tried validating the game files. It redownloaded 2 files. After this I tried starting a new game again and I had the same problem

Uninstalling and re-installing was the next thing I did but I wanted to revalidate the game files after it was done but apparently it couldn't validate 2 files again (the same ones I'm guessing) so it redownloaded them. I tried to validate them again and it happened again, and third time after that. Interestingly when going to the Downloads-tab in the Steam-program shows that every time it downloaded something, it was either 0 bytes worth of data or 1.2 KB.

After the last revalidation, I tried restarting a new campaign but the same problem occured for Allies 1 and Sovjets 1. The game crashed immediately after trying to start the first Counterstrike-missions at the top of the lists for both Allies and Sovjets.

Trying to find an answer using Google didn't work as I found nothing. I'm at my wits' end here.

PS: I had 0 technical problems with TD.

Update on my own situation.

Together with someone from customer support, I was able to locate the problem and solve it. Turned out there was a corrupted ini-file from a mod, which I accidently subscribed to but undid as soon as I realized but apparently it didn't uninstall all its files.

I didn't pick up the fact that this file was from the mod but instead thought it was part of the game itself. After manually deleting all remaining files after uninstalling the game plus any possible UGC I had (I deleted the game's folder in the Documents-directory as well, just in case), and then reinstalling the game, it's all working again now.

Thanks remembering me, before two days ago Same issues here... finisched td campaigns and now going on to ra... and again
I remember td was also crashing after enabling 3-4 mods...
Obviously, i guess the "advanced" zoom mod caused the problem...

Advanced zoom mod got updated at some point, when stuff changed in the xml files of the game. So if you still got an old version of it, you might need to unsubscribe and resubscribe to it through the in-game interface to fix that. C&C Remastered workshop items are notorious for not actually auto-updating...
