No 21:9 or 32:9 aspect ratio, only 16:9?
Are you kidding me? Even Tiberian sun from 2010 that is free has 32:9 support and 21:9 i tested this.

Such a shame because otherwise it's such a quality remake. Into the future widescreen and ultrawide are going to be the standard.

Do you want this remake to be futureproof or not?

*edit* Everyone is so fricking hostile, i really don't get it. What do you get out of it? If you don't care scalable resolution fix don't comment and waste my or your damn time.

If a mod reads this please remove this entire topic. I won't post again I promise.

You don't even own the game...

I personally don't understand the obsession with these ultra-wide screens...

I refunded it because I'm waiting for them to implement what is stated above.

It's perfectly fine that you don't understand the preference for having no bezels, to multitask seamlessly, enjoy having a wider field of view in flight simulators and FPS games, having a bird eyes view across almost the entire map in RTS games.

My guess is that if you had the money or even had tried playing such games on an ultrawide chances are you wouldn't be saying that. But I'm not that petty to devalue someones opinion to each his own right. That's why i purpose for super/ultrawide to be supported.

running just fine at 3440x1440 here. No sure why you are comparing it to Tib Sun which has a 'newer' and very very differnt engine

Tiberian Sun was released in 1999 but okay.

Damn those developers pre-2000, they should have made their games futureproof for ultrawide monitors back then, even during the 80's.

It was re-released in 2010 as freeware but ok. The remaster of tiberian dawn is a remastered engine so one would assume they would make it up to date to current specifications.

If you're trying to making an argument your failing.

I'm referring to the limitations of having it not being scalable it's still a 16:9 box I'm looking at with black bars on the side.

Tiberian Sun was re-released in 2010 as freeware this version has support for all available display ratios and resolutions because it is scalable. The remaster of Tiberian Dawn is a remastered engine so one would assume they would make it scalable as well THAT WAS ALL I WAS IMPLYING.

Do you have trouble reading? I only said that Tiberian Sun happens to be a really old game and has future proofing and scalable resolutions unlike the Tiberian Dawn REMASTER ANNO 2020.

Irrelevant, the original release date was in 1999, not 2010 which you stated as a fact.

If you're trying to making an argument your failing.

I would worry more about your incorrect spelling and your lack of ability to properly edit.

Regardless, I don't see how they HAVE to pander to the 1% of of gamers who use UW-monitors. It's great for certain SP-only games though, I will give you that.

No i didn't, i "stated" the 2010 release I use has UW support. I didnt say it had support in the initial release 1999 thats why i wrote tiberian sun from 2010 is it that hard to understand?Yeah my incorrect spelling somehow makes what i say invalid. You're grasping hard. your vry tir3some and i request this thread gets removed because this makes me sick to my stomach.

I really don't care anymore i want nothing to do with people like you and will refrain from posting here you win.

Having such a basic alteration is pandering, you don't see how ridiculous that sounds? I can only conclude you are trolling and harassing me, enjoyy the gr4mm4r btw and the edit386

People moan that it gives players using UW's an advantage. Which is a stupid reason and doesn't hold merit as a lot of RTS games support just fine and no one bats an eye lid.

The other "reason" from what i remember is that the game is comprised of certain amount of pixels or some crap that wont go beyond a certain distance to allow longer aspect ratios. Which again, doesn't hold merit as, as you've stated (and myself have found) they play just fine at 21:9.

In my eyes there's no reason why this doesn't have proper 21:9. And i've said that from the beginning of its release.

Because they're awesome. Once you get one you wont want to go back.

The ideal aspect ratio is moerrr

Especially in a game like this, it would be so pretty.

Why are you so upset about this?

Regarding Tiberium Sun from 1999 vs Command and Conquer 1 from 1995.

Technology was evolving very quickly at this time, so a 1999 P.C. should be quite a bit more powerful than a 1995 P.C.

According to Wiki, the 3DFX 'Voodoo 1' 3D graphics cards were released in 1996, while the more powerful 'Voodoo 2' graphics cards were released in 1998. This allowed games to run at both a higher frame rate, and a higher resolution, with coloured lighting and the kind of graphics which had never been seen on the P.C.before.

And just to show the difference between software mode and 3D accelerated mode on a P.C. of the era, check out this video.

The 3Dfx Voodoo Difference: This is why we love them.

Still no classic 4:3 support to truly experience this game as it used to be? Guess I'll refund!
