RA98 or RA99 mod available?
Is anyone remember a old mod named RA98? It has nuclear power, SSM launcher that 3 shots kills the base, and Einstein pretty much kills every unit with one shot. Is there anyone making this mod for C&C RA remastered?
Trying to gather the people who knows this mod and thinking about making it back with this discussion. We need the original version RA98 and people with experience of making mod for RA Remaster. RA98 is not downloadable anymore now on many sites had it. And the downloadable ones are not compatible with the new OS.

Is this the mod where the Ssm launcher shoot nuke missiles and flame tank shoots long range fireballs? I might be familiar with that mod but I'm not sure if it's in the workshop right now.

Feel free to port it...
Yes, that is it. And Tansport attacks with invisible lightings, hospitals are strongest land defense building. Tanks can shot missles that hit air units.

I didn’t see anything similar to this mod in workshop currently. So I’m looking for original copy of this mod and see if me or anyone else can adapt it into RA remaster.

Yeah, this might be the mod I remembered. Einstein, transport ships, and hospitals shoot invisible lightning, longbows and SSMs shoots nukes, tech center shoots rapid turret shells... I don't think it was popular enough for any modders to know about it.

The campaign missions were a bit messed up too. Like the rangers were replaced by nuke SSMs which means you'll instantly get nuked at the beginning of Deus Ex Machine mission, followed by 2 longbows nuking you at start. Was still a fun mod I love to see again.
This mod is the most popular mod in China during those old times, pretty much everyone plays RA with this mod. My favorite strategy is to use Chrono Tank to make enemy SSM Launcher to destroy their own units or buildings since nuke does team damage.

It’s more fun to play this mod with AI on personal maps.

You mean this mod: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1dxJPTsUBc

This is exactly the mod I played before. lol that visceroid spray sound brings back memories. I can't find this mod anywhere now. I didn't even know it was called RA98 before this topic. I think it was around the year 2000 I had this mod on a plain orange disc, it was called "Red Alert Retaliation" on the box cover with a picture of a Tiberian Sun GDI soldier on it lol. Didn't know it was well known, I thought it was just someone mod a Red Alert game, put it on a blank disc and print some random C&C images on the box cover to make money.
A lot of OP unit in this mode makes you feel like it’s a test version of RA2, because that’s what a war with Nuclear and Chrono weapon should be look like.

Of course, converting that into a Remaster mod isn't that straightforward. Sure, you can just follow the instructions and dump these files into the "ccdata" folder, but this mod has a ton of custom graphics for units and buildings, so those will need to have some kind of replacements. Not to mention, the many custom names. Just search for "Image=" and "Name=" in the rules.ini; it's quite a bunch.

Most of these come from C&C1, but I bet there's custom stuff that's not so easily substituted.
