EA, will you remaster BFME+ROTWK as well?
Does anyone know if EA has any plans of releasing the Lord of the rings strategy game, battle for middle earth 2 + rise of the witch king on steam?
As it is or even remaster it.

There was Battle For Middle-Earth Anthology, but it came same time when ROTWK released.
Anthology contains all games 1, and 2 + ROTWK. But when was released they not saying anything about it.

I want that Anthology remaster to any prices, even 120 € its too low for these games.

Unlikely due to licensing shenanigans.

google around; the community copy / patch is widely available and still played heavily on platforms like gameranger etc.
Which has nothing to do with EA no longer holding the license to distribute the games and being unlikely to reacquire it.

I think middle-earth license can give by Tolkien's family.

Sure it can. The question is whether the Tolkien Estate has an interest in handing it out for this purpose, whether there are any exclusivity deals with other companies that prevent this, and whether EA is even interested.

Short answer? No.

Why is that? EA lost the rights to the LOTR franchise some time ago. As such they can't re-release ANY of their LOTR games. Even more problematic is they would need not only the Tolkein estate to agree, but the studios behind the films, along with those representing ALL the actors featured in the games as the games would be seen as "new" products. It's a legal mess that EA isn't going to dive into at the moment. It's a shame as the games are worth revisiting.

They can, but the games are based on the films. So EA also needs the rights from the studios and talent involved. It's a huge mess sadly.

While I would love it myself, and unlike Dune, at least it would be possible to regain the needed license(s), I don't think the BFME games have enough of a fanbase it would be worth the time and money EA would have to invest in it

Thank you guys for your answers and the further explanation.
Tolkien Estate isn't really the issue, it's just that the licences now are in WB hands instead of EA as a game company.
So, overall imo fans should ask for it from WB on twitter and maybe then WB and EA could strike a deal * if the demand is high enough after all...
Such a shame for a gem like this to let it rot.
