What do you mean that the T-34 never went beyond the concept stage? It was the Soviet main battle tank of WWII. It participated in the Battle of Kursk.
I think they're thinking of the T-35 which was a multi-turreted rather than double barrelled tank, and the only multi-turret heavy tank to go into full scale production (still only about 60) Never heard of any double-barrelled Russian tank prototypes, but there were definitely a few German ones like the Maus and the Neubau-Farzhueg
