lol, I believe that's how it had to be unlocked on the original RA: Retaliation on Playstation :p

You don't see them in the original too unless you unlock it (which remains the same way in the remasters).

Actually you have to do the "unlock" every time you want to start playing them in the original, so if anything you see them more in the remasters, since it just a one time thing here

Exactly. Both original and remasters have the ant campaign hidden the same way but you'll see more in the remasters (appearing in the mission list forever once unlocked and the official trailer even showed us a glimpse of a giant ant). Strange the OP is aware they exist in the original but not in the remastered.
