I'm hoping there's going to be a worth while patch or RA Workshop update at some point to refresh the AI or even bring a new Brutal level to Red Alert. I've been hoping since a kid that the AI dare to build a Naval Yard lol
I did buy this fullprice and the ai on skirmish is the worst Ive seen in in the last 20 years (from Nintento64, Gamecube and PC games). Much time passed and many patches later, nothing did change...Im very disappointed about that @EA @Devs.
I did buy this game and I mean its called "Command & Conquer™ Remastered", so I expect basic things like a simple skirmish mode with ai to work, especially from a strategy genre dev+publisher team with a decade+ of experience. This is not their first strategy game, it should have been the smartest ai of the game industry related to their knowledge and company sizes.
Looks like I have to buy the next "remastered" version of their old games much much cheaper if they cannot serve a minimum quality for an old game with replaced graphics.
Dear lord, the AI NEVER worked. And it's freaking $20 bucks. That's 1/3 the price of an average AAA game.
They NEVER promised MENSA-level AI when they remastered this, only better visuals and sound.
But hey, if you wanna hate on an apple for not tasting like an orange, that's on you.
Minimum quality--yeah right. Go play your FREE OpenRA instead and get a refund for this.
Jeez, do the words "caveat emptor" even mean anything now?
20 Euro for an old game with replaced grapics in 2D style is a lot of money. Also, they were getting money from me back the 2 decades allready. A working skirmish mode in 2020 from an dev and publisher team that is known from strategy genre is everything I can expect.
This skirmish is so buggy and non-functional, it feels like a pre-alpha version in which one developer tested some lines he did in the first 10 min at his first day on the game. Its a shame how worse it is.
I heavily regret that 20 euro on it, thats a dissapointed job on the so called "skirmish" "software" "feature" + their decision to leave it like.
Seriosuly the whole it is onyl a reskin argument been thrown out SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many times by now and been explained why it is not true just as many times, so go look up any one of the other threads with a siilar topic for an explanation of how the game is NOT just "replaced graphics"
I'd be pissed if they didn't tell me what I was getting. BUT THEY DID.
I bought it, knowing the AI would still be stupid. It's a museum piece for me, a historical record of how far we've come.
If you're told a vintage car model would be re-introduced with modern materials but still no power steering, you have no right to complain that it's hard to steer if you buy it. You. Were. Told. And. You. Still. Bought. It.
If you didn't read the press releases or FAQS, that's YOUR problem.
Regardless of whether or not anyone is a fanboy is irrelevant, and has no bearing on your negligent failure to do the research.
