What game is considered Command & Conquer 2?

Hi everyone! Just finished up the remaster and I'd like to continue with Kane's story. Would I need to play Tiberian Sun next, followed by Command & Conquer 3?

Storyline wise, it's Red Alert -> C&C -> Tiberian Sun -> Firestorm -> C&C3 -> Kane's Wrath. Kane's Wrath storyline starts immediately after Tib Sun and continues past the ending of C&C3.

If you want to play the games in the order they were released, then it's C&C, Covert Ops, RA, Counterstrike, Aftermath, Tiberian Sun, Firestorm, Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge.
Then there's Renegade which is an FPS set during the first C&C.

After that you have the EA games - C&C3, Kane's Wrath, Red Alert 3, Uprising. That's about it.

You're all excellent doods! I remember playing Tiberian Sun years ago but didn't really enjoy it because of how different it felt and maybe a little hate towards how difficult it was to get it to run properly from my First Decade box. Since restarting it yesterday, I like it!

*For anyone else wanting a good version of TS, it's freeware and there's an excellent and clean all in one installer that works fantastic in Windows 10.

Originally, I think they wanted to make RA a prequel to the Tiberium series (hence Kane appearing in the RA campaigns). With RA2 though, it because its own setting.

Tiberian sun is the best game for just building good looking bases because of gates.

For the last bloody time, Tiberian Dawn is not the continuation of the soviet ending. How can one even think that??? The soviet ending literally has the Soviets ruling over all of Eurasia.

RA2 is perfectly canon since it never happened. At the end of Yuri's Revenge they go back in time to the point where RA2 never took place.

The only ending that is ever canon is the "good guys" one. So its Allies and GDI. Westwood has stated this themselves multiple times.

Red Alert is the second C&C game but isn't called C&C2 because its a prequel. Many games do this. GTA San Andreas is technically GTA 4 and Assassins Creed Brotherhood is technically AC 3. These were not considered to be full sequels because they have less effort put into them and are still based on the old game. Half the graphics and most of the engine in Red Alert is from Tiberian Dawn.

Tiberian Sun is C&C2 and that is why Tiberium Wars is C&C3.

I get the feeling that Westwood wanted to leave whole "Which RA endings is canon" fully open, as in Soviet ending, Spoilers coming, since we all know it....

Easy. GDI, knowing that Slavik would turn on them , decided to act first and used Marcions Vanity to brainwash him to think he's the true leader of Nod. Marcion assasinated Slavik and took over Black Hand, and GDI hoped that they had learned enough on Hassan failure to keep Marcion as their puppet without him knowing....
