Sudden fps stuttering?
Yesterday was fine but today when i booted up red alert to continue the campaign i now get massive stuttering, I only play borderless and have not changed anything, I verified the files but still get it.

Any advice or help?

Is it installed on a standard hard drive or an SSD?

Standard HDD but i had no issues in skirmish or campaign yesterday both tiberium dawn and red alert were running fine, It seems to have smoothed out a bit but the micro stuttering is there, I have plenty of storage across my HDD's atleast 100gb each spare minimum.
The recommended requirements for the games says it's best to use an SSD, a lot of people are mostly having the same issues with HDD's.

The developers might release a patch soon though.
The same happened to me with C&C. I have not launched red alert yet.
It occurs when lauching or loading the first time a game. After a few minutes, it disappeared.

Have you rebooted the computer since this started?
Sirwinsalot Jun 9, 2020 @ 1:08pm
I guess i rebooted last night since i last played it? i will try again in abit so that will be a reboot and see how it does but thanks for the heads up, Fingers crossed for a patch.

Hard Drive Space: 32 GB on SSD

I'm sure they'll fix the stuttering issue sometime in the future.

I still see 32gb HDD for minimum and my performance was fine before with more running in the background so i'm figuring its a patch job.

Check the bottom of the Recommended requirements.
Getting the same problem suddenly. Game worked fine until today RA1 lags terribly. Running off a HDD so maybe that's the problem? But it worked fine until now.

It happened to me when starting a game a couple times.
I paused and waited a few seconds and it was ok.
I use a 6-7 year old computer with an hdd.

hdd is not the problem here. 100%

i installed it on hdd and its butter smooth, 60fps and 16.6ms. i never get drops below 60 fps and i nearly doesn't use my hdd at all..

the problem here is just bugs and maybe bad optimization and not the hdd.. some people might have issues due to those bugs and bad optimization and to me personally it seems like they are trying to hide their incapability by adding "32gb on ssd" to the recommended specs to make it look like its the users fault for not installing the game on an ssd..
My issue was because I had a virus, reformatted and now reinstalled on my SSD. Works fine.
