Havester is refinery specific?!
Just realized if I build multiple refineries, the harvesters could only return to their original refineries?!

Could one not build multiple harvesters and send them all to the closet refinery?!

You just have to wait...

Harvester B cannot use refinery A, as the option to tell it to use that refinery is blocked out.
Harvester A returns to refinery A fully loaded.
Right upon when it unloads the ore into the refinery, the option for Harvester B is somewhat unlocked and you are able to add it to that refinery.

But as I said I think that this will block out Harvester A then.

I played a little around with that with the PSX-version but ultimately stopped doing it and rather building more refineries. XD

It's 1 of the bugs they need to fix, there's a couple extremely obnoxious bugs in the game that they badly need to get to. It doesn't happen all the time, but you can have multiple harvesters per refinery just don't have too many.

This is an issue of the original version of the game (speaking of my experience with Red Alert - Counterstrike on PSX).
I never had more than one harvester per refinery as one can cancel the other out.
So I had to tell them manually where to go, otherwise they would stop fully loaded directly on the ore field waiting for the next enemy to destroy them. :(

So we are simply better off building multiple refineries then; there is little to no point in building more harvesters than you have refineries for, as from what I could tell, harvester A cannot unload into refinery B.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
