Fix Hard difficulty
This is the most frustrating, infuriating and utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficulty increase I have ever seen in my life.

THis isn't hard mode this is pot luck mode.

GDI Commando mission, if you're REALLY lucky, there wont be any units spawning when you destroy the SAM sites, if not, you SCREWED by the third sam site when you're commando has less than 10%hp.

Other missions are just big ♥♥♥♥ you's, yes Im cursing, because a 20% stat penalty as a difficulty increase, is BS.

These 'hard' missions arn't difficult, there boarder line impossible.

Enemy tanks perfectly dodging grenades.
Enemy infanty dodging you're force move commmand to crush them
Enemy tanks PERFECTLY crushing 10+ infantry despite spamming the X (Scatter) key.
Enemy getting stupid eco ratio's
Enemy dealing more damage (Or taking far less)
Light tanks almost able to 1v1 a Medium tank
Enemy artillery almost 1 shotting MLRS

Did ANYONE bother to check if Hard was possible by a NORMAL person and not only possible 1 in 20 tries by a 400 action per min demi god.

Another mission to take out a NOD base, you have a barracks and a War factory, the ONLY way I was able to do it was to bum rush an engineer in an APC, sacrificing a horde of troops as a distraction and taking over their MCV and Airstrip and selling them.

I like a challenge, I have over my lifetime completed EVERY C&C on the hardest settings From RA2 upwards, some took multiple tries, but at least I felt like I was getting somewhere, here its just hope the AI eventually chokes, gets stuck and abuse it.

Hard is over tuned.

(That aside, good job on the rest of the remaster, fix the balancing of hard mode)

For the record; Normal mode is the original difficulty. C&C Tiberium Dawn is not designed around hard mode. The 20% fire rate the enemy gets vs the 20% reduced fire rate you get breaks the game, especially on missions where you need to take small groups and overcome the odds.

For all the idiots saying "Git gud." You need to understand there is a difference between difficulty, and just cheap. This isn't a matter of getting good, it's a matter of luck as opposed to skill. On hard, if you and the enemy have the same number of basic units; you lose because the enemy shoots more then you do. And deploys new units faster.

This just encourages cheesing enemies and sandbagging their base off so they can't do anything. And if that is something you need to do to win; that's not good.

ITS MEANT TO BE HARD !!! play on normal ffs

Okay I came back from testplaying hard. The increase on damage output against your units is immense! They shoot faster and also seem to make more damage. I played SaveMoebius, and GDI14 and GDI10 rescue delphi. The latter two are UNIT ONLY missions where you don't have a base.

They are not very close to unwinable but feel 100% more difficult.

There is even achievements that want you to finish missions on hard difficulty. And with that noticeable unfairness and bull* AS WELL AS the game feeling different to control, this is quite a challenge. I am still not convinced that Normal is the original difficulty.

Again, I play the game every year, multiple times since 20 or so. And I tell you, they need to find a different way to make the game harder, without being this * unfair.

Someone put out an AI fix on workshop for that removes the handicaps from HARD and EASY
but retains the AI behaviour as in the events and how they go about building and attacking.

It seems to be commonplace for remasters to screw up the balance of the campaigns where they introduce new functions

In age of empires 2, the remaster got an AI upgrade. Which was great for skirmishes, but also made the campaigns tedious or downright impossible to complete. They were balanced with the old passive AI in mind

Here it’s the same with the hard difficulty on TD. The campaign was balanced to be a challenge on it’s own, without any buffs/nerfs to units

Certainly quite a lot of posts about this issue and i must say some things really are very difficuilt. The movement speed penalty is pretty rough tbh and its nigh on impossible to scatter from tanks with infantry.I mean why not just chuck in a few extra units here and there rather then just buff ai and nerf player?

Why this obsession with hard mode? In the old days, games had only 1 dif, and there were no internet to help you. Now every game has to have a Dark Soul level of hardness so gamers can see who (p)iss the longest.... like it or not, this is still not a remake :D

Some of the missions are quite hard tbh, The biggest issue I have is the enemy AI just constantly squashing my units and It's quite hard to postion them to where they aren't going to.

Great, found and downloaded the mod. Great that the community fixes the game instead of the developers as usual in the gaming industry. Let's hope achievements dont get nullified.
Because I'm not dealing with unfairness.

And I did notice that unit speed was slower too!!! Even had to increase gamespeed to faster. I didnt even think it was deliberate.

Casual is too easy IMO. My son was struggling to control things (he's 8) and sent a single infantry out who took out like... 5 others with health to spare. I've never seen easy difficulty in an RTS have such an extreme handicap tweak.

That is the other side of the extreme I guess.

There is a scatter key?

Select the units you want, and Hit X on the keyboard.

I recommend looking up the hotkeys in the menu, it can save you a lot of trouble.

Im playing on hard and so far im in mission 8 for NOD. Sometimes get difficult but Save/Load is all I need... And hard difficulty against AI in skirmish actually need fixing cause its way too EASY. Enemy basically don't attack me at all.
