Starting on wrong Monitor.
Hi,

yesterday after the Launch the Game works very well.
This Day the Game starts on the wrong Monitor. I cant change it anywhere so i have to play the great Game on the false Display now.
How can I fix this ?

I have no actual fix for this but maybe try switching primary and secondary monitor within windows settings, this should in theory fix it for you.

I just put the game into windowed mode and moved it to the right monitor and put it back to full screen and it worked just fine for me.

you have to make sure that the window mode is lit up green and selected while the full screen windowed mode is unselected. you have to go in the options and make sure it is cause i had to go to do it multiple times to make sure it took effect then it should allow you to have a window that you can move.

Can you please confirm what you mean by "make sure that the window mode is lit up green"? I only see a red check box that has either a tickmark in it or no tick mark. Ticking it and pressing OK does nothing. Exiting the game and reloading it also does nothing with it ticked.

yeah having the same issue, can you confirm 'lit up green'?

In case anyone comes here looking for the answer, I tried everything, changing windows monitor settings, setting it to fullscreen, windowed, borderless windowed, setting it to windowed, dragging it over then setting borderless, etc. The only thing that eventually worked was using the app Borderless Gaming (I've used it in the past when windows were being finicky). All I did was add the C&C Remastered process to the Favorites so it would do it automatically in the future, then click the box with the arrows pointing outward. I can restart the program now and it goes on the main monitor with no issues.

I know I'm late to the party, but if anyone comes across this topic, I did not use any additional app.

While the game is on the incorrect monitor, change it windowed mode. Then press Windows+Shift+Right Arrow to move it to the right monitor (or left if you need it to move to the left monitor). Then change it back to non-windowed mode (or borderless window). You may need to shift-tab to open the in-game steam overlay for the keyboard shortcuts to work.

Oh, wow. I did not know that was a thing. Handy :)

To move a full-screen game to another monitor, use the keyboard shortcut: Shift + Windows key + Left/Right arrow key.

Congrats, you bumped a thread that was inactive for two years to post a solution that was already posted :steamfacepalm:
