Crossplay between Steam and Origin?
Title.
A friend of mine owns it on Origin, and I see Steam has a lower asking price. Wondering if I'll be able to play online with this friend if I buy it here instead of Origin.

of course is something goes wrong on steam, you can opt for a refund (remember don't play it more than 2 hours) and buy it on origin.

I have tried this today (I have the Steam version and a friend is on Origin) and we were not able to find each others games in the lobby. Has anyone actually tried this yet?

I just tried and it worked. I managed to join my buddy's lobby, and he's on Origin. We've literally just finished playing a match.
