dont remember the name.. right now its boats coming in and i have to disrupt the NODs laser tower.. and seriously better positioning is pointless. my money still runs out , and they still come with endless waves killing off what i got regardless where the hell i open up my base xD
tried. they do the same ♥♥♥♥ there.. might be a bug for me normal and hard seems to be the same.
the AI definitely dont have instant production. They are limited to the same production as us, but they do have infinite money UNTIL you destroy the refinery.
i mean i do want a challange,, but not being able to make units to be agressive with cause they die as i build them when i use them to protect my place.. and i only have bout 20 min each round then my tiberuim and money runs out is boring. I will try it on easy.
Oh, and to add to my list - let's not forget the old "AI already has a base with towers and adv tech", have at it with this one MCV, Player.
The best general advice though is that old singleplayer RTS design really encourages you to do a few test runs so you can scout out the map and see where the triggers for things like reinforcements are. Don't expect to beat everything first attempt. Generally speaking, if you are running out of resources and barely chipping away at an AI base in a mission without making much headway you probably messed up an attack and should give it another go.
I think I know the one. The base is vulnerable from the north rather than go right at the Obelisk laser tower. Their harvester is also mining north of their base. So I massed medium tanks and humvees, got north of their base and went in that way. The Tiberium will help kill their troops too when they come after you.
Obelisk laser towers use a lot of power, so taking down power stations cuts it off. And if you ever have to attack one, best to lead with mass infantry. It will one shot just about anything, so a large infantry group gives it too many targets.
Are you building more harvesters? Don't just rely on the one that comes with the resource center. Early on build a second one, and build more as you see opportunities. I think I had 4 on that mission.
