Massive LAG issues.
I really don't want to leave a bad review so thought I would throw this to the community first.

Is anyone having major lag issue when playing, especially when enemy units are revealed. Seems to be a massive problem and its becoming unplayable.

My laptop specs are:
Windows 10
Pro: Intel Core i7-8750H CPU@2.20Ghz
RAM: 8GB (5.88 Usable)

I would have hope this wouldn't have an issue running this game. Any Assistance is appreciated

I play on a worse laptop and the game runs smooth, so most likely the problem is with your system.

NVIDIA
GEFORCE GTX 8th Gen

I'm guessing its something to do with my system but not had any issue like this before,

I had same problem, moving game to SSD fixed it.

I agree it lags horrible in campaign combat for me.
Hope they fix it soon.

Laptop. You might be able to sort it with the power setup.

Press and hold windows key + x
click power options

change to best performance.

Go additional power settings, select high performance.

If you disable full screen optimization its seem to help a lot.
Why is this always activated...

- Turning off overlay, either in Steam client, and/or in Geforce Ex/Radeon
- Turn Vsync on/off
- Change screen size.

- Check Geforce Ex\Radeon if there is some option that creates some problems.

- Also, there is a known problem with having the game on a normal HDD, changing to an SSD have helped some because it might be related to loading assets\graphics. Move to an SSD or save and load the map again.

Needs to be addressed. Noticeable from the very first mission, retro graphics or modern. Choppy stuttering.

Seems to kick off when enemy units emerge from Fog of War.

Really excited to play when ready!
Same problem. Hope this gets fixed. There's no reason why this game should be behaving like this. SSD shouldn't matter at all; it has barely anything to load. It's barely remastered. It's a 25 year-old game updated so it only looks 15 years old. It takes less than 300MB of main memory, but it behaves like it's mining cryptocurrency in the background.

Thanks everyone.

Got rid of the overlay and got rid of the widescreen.

Seems to be working fine now. Loving this and this is why you don't auto give a bad review because its not quite working

The stuttering in RA1 disappeared when I moved the game to an SSD.

The stuttering appears to wind down the more you play, i.e. the Textures must be MASSIVE and need to be worn in. Every time you see something new you might experience another hiccup.
