Save game location?
Anyone know where the save games gets saved? I want my significant other to see the install movie as it starts but since I already started the game it only has it in the movies section and I want her to be surprised. That way I can revert back to a fresh install.

Not sure what the trigger is to launch the installation movie at startup, but you may also try to delete the \Users\<your user>\Documents\CnCRemastered folder entirely

That folder is empty, but there is a cnc_temporary_save_file.sav under appdata\local\temp.

Deleting the 1213210 folder did the trick. Thanks!

None of my saves were in the <Steamdir>\userdata folder. They were in the <username>\Documents\CnCRemastered\Save folder. It seems that if you have Steam Cloud disabled they are never put into the <Steamdir> location.

Having the same problem. Played through both TD campaigns. Played half of Allied in RA. All the saves are there, but it does not remember mission progress or settings.

I have tried all of the solutions above, renamed folders, deleted TD save files in-game, etc. etc. Nothing has worked.

Any suggestions before I try a complete reinstall of CnC Remastered?

A complete reinstall won't change that stuff; savegames and progress settings are separate from the actual game install data.

One would think, but strangely enough, the reinstall was the only thing that worked.

Fortunately, didn't lose the saved games, so it was just a matter of reloading a late saved game and finishing it to restore campaign progress. All seems good now, though I'm not going to fire up TD until done with the RA campaign.
