GDI Mission 7A Hard - how the hell to beat?
No matter what I do there are way too many NOD forces that overwhelm me. It's a miracle if I can even get a war factory up. Tips?

Complete the correct objective on Mission 6 ;)

hahahaha.. I was fighting the same battle. Then I restarted gdi7 and saw it said since I did not get the airstrip in the last mission... haha, Going to do 6 again. Thanks

GDI Mission 7 is unrelentingly brutal, as punishment for not completing GDI Mission 6 with the correct target. The mission is really hard because the whole point of Mission 6 was to try to stop Nod from amassing a huge force; Mission 7 has GDI supply you a full force, but Nod is up and ready to rumble.

Move your MCV north to where there is more tiberium and deploy there. Make sure you are microing your units before they take critical damage so they dont die. The key is to get a guard tower on both the north and south side of your base, and accompanied by a couple infantry.
From here, build a Humvee (Light Scout) and do some scouting to reveal the fog of war. In the meantime, try to get a second refinery up ASAP to allow you to pump out more medium tanks.

You could also rush the base with an APC full of engineers and capture key structures.

IIRC from original game, in mission 7 Nod won't have (and won't rebuild) building that you had destroyed in previous mission. So if you destroyed Refinery, you might just win through attrition.

Thanks M8, went back and did mission 6 and blew up the refinery - mission 7 is much easier doing that.

the best way to deal with the Commando mission is kill the Refinery, cause killing the Airstrip locks you in to the mobus mission, witch is of the most brutal missions in the game

what ever building you destory in the commando mission, t he AI WONT rebuild in the next, so killing the refinery, means no enemey army

I took out the hand of nod and found it easy to power through with medium tanks cause without missile troopers nod really suffers in anti-tank when mass to mass (Unless they have like 2.5x your units), also most missions have an area that allows you strike their base and take out key buildings to make it easier like the conyard.

It doesn't lock you into mobius mission, that's one of two possible mission 8.

Missile and Flamer troopers, GDI wins easily in that mission when vehicle warfare is all that's happening.

so random related occurance: blew up the airstrip got to the next mission, called it quits but the mission select only had me on 7a, with the airstrip destroyed.

Also you can blow up the Hand of Nod as well, which stops annoying infantry waves and leaves it as only enemy armor

if you go non airstrip then beat the next mission, the game lets you pick, but when i killed the airstrip, it whent right to the mobus missions, not letting me pick the other one

I killed the airstrip and I did the non-mobius mission right after
