FPS Stuttering?

The Audio is fine but every 5 seconds or so the game will freeze up for a short moment. Anyone have this issue and found a fix?

I'm playing C&C and have no issues. I was wondering if it's RA causing issues?!?

I get huge fps drops in both games, this ♥♥♥♥ is unacceptable. the game is 27 years old and i can boot up the original in dos box right now and run it fine with no fps issues. i dont understand how you ♥♥♥♥ this up this bad.

I get same thing - super fluid animation inbetween a lag every 5 seconds . On both C&C and RA from cinematics, menus and game itself. Ryzen 5 2400, 32GB RAM. on all video modes.

Are you on WIN 7? If so which one 32 or 64?
I'm on WIN 7 64 with GForce 970 running on full 4K and with 8GB RAM. The game runs with no issues.
Have you tried VSYNC on/off ? Maybe it's that?!?

i refunded. i'm just so very very tired of it all. i think i'll rest now and try to forget that everyday when i open my eyes mounds of ♥♥♥♥ keep heeping on top of my face

I managed to fix the problem somehow. I updated by graphic drivers through the radeon app but that didn't help. Only after I went to device manager and updated from there the computer crashed... but after the reboot the game finally started running perfectly.

Hello! Same here. My game freeze and I have fps drop.

Intel Core I5-8330H 8th Gen
Gforce GTX 1050 Ti
8Gg Ram

Apparently, the freeze and fps drop have disappeared. I moved the game on my ssd.

Same issue. Stuttering occasionally. Even in the intro. It will be some global video setting or some kind of bug. Patch will help, just wait some time :-)

So I thought I had the problem fixed - Game did run flawlessly one time but starting next day it was stuttering again

I'll end off my part of this thread with what has happened to me.
After a pc restart, it runs flawlessly. If I close the game and start it again I have about a 50% chance for it to run flawlessly again. After that, the stuttering will continue and I have to restart my pc. Inconvenient but not unplayable.

yeah the game never worked for me, i refunded it. its just tiring dealing with this ♥♥♥♥ in 2020. the games source code was literally released on github and the original code is there. they had no reason for this ♥♥♥♥ not to run well on literally every single computer. its a 25 year old game with a new coat of paint. i probably wont buy this and support lemonsky again, i would like to support petroglyph but im not giving money to people who dont deserve it when i cant play a game thats almost as old as me.
